App Of The Week: LearnZillion

This week's spotlight is on LearnZillion.   LearnZillion is a free site that uses video as a resource tool for students who might need or desire a bit more enrichment in the subjects of Math and/or ELA. As you read this post you may remember that I spotlighted a video resource app last week, as well.  That is true; but I wanted to post information about LearnZillion, because unlike Educreations (last week's app) LearnZillion's resource videos are aligned with Common Core Standards.  Although Texas has not adopted these standards, our students can still benefit from these lessons.  If you are looking for a tool to supplement your Math or ELA classroom instruction give LearnZillion a try.

LearnZillion's Best Features
  • It's FREE
  • Dashboard has short, easy to follow tutorials for the teacher
  • Option to set up a class and then enroll your students in that class.
  • Choose lessons by grade level
  • Common Core navigator built in for easy lesson searches
  • Assign lessons to a single student or an entire class
  • Note-taking templates are built right in to the lessons and students can add to their Google Drive.
  • All resources needed to complete the lesson are built in the right side bar
  • Track your students' progress
  • Create a "Favorites" list of lessons
